One-on-onE Therapy and SUPPORT

One-on-one therapy is a place to discuss concerns, goals, and challenges in a confidential, safe environment with someone who holds no biases and no judgments.

Therapy and counselling with a psychologist can be quite different from talking with a friend or family. Psychologists use methods that have a sound research base and have been shown to help people to feel better and to increase wellbeing.

Individual therapy and counselling can help people with a wide range of concerns such as:

  • Stress and rumination
  • Worry and anxiety
  • Sadness and depression
  • Traumatic experiences
  • Grief and loss
  • Unhealthy habits
  • Possible lifestyle changes

Therapy and counselling can help pinpoint triggers and identify roadblocks and obstacles to optimal mental health and wellbeing.

Our therapy and counselling sessions last approximately 50 minutes and can be at a frequency that suits your needs and preferences.

Depression & Anxiety

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after traumatic events such as loss of a loved one or loss of independence. Therapy can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

Loneliness and Social Isolation

Loneliness and Social Isolation

Loneliness is the feeling of being alone, regardless of the amount of social contact. Social isolation is a lack of social connections. We can help you work through some of the issues that might be contributing. Therapy aims to help you recover the confidence you once had and set you on the path to increased connection.

Being a Carer

Loneliness and Social Isolation

Loneliness and Social Isolation

Carers are people who provide care and support to family members and friends who need it. We understand the challenges of caring and we can provide support whatever the circumstance. This could be providing emotional support to a loved one with dementia or supporting someone through illness or end of life.
